Massage Techniques:

Applied in each massage depending on client PReferences

Used to treat pain and tension in the body by sinking deep into the muscle fibers and connective tissues. Deep tissue massage offers both psychological and physical benefits. A common misconception is that deep tissue needs to be deep pressure. Depending on clients preferences, it can vary.

Deep tissue

Swedish

This technique targets the superficial muscle fibers, and focuses on stress relief while relaxing the muscles. Swedish massage is often used to warm up the tissues through the use of lighter pressure.

Trigger Point

Trigger point massage is particularly effective with managing chronic pain. By holding direct pressure to targeted muscle groups, areas of bunched fibers or spasms can improve over time.

Myofascial release

The fascia is connective tissue that supports the muscles and runs throughout the entire body. This technique stretches and kneads the fascia and is effective at relieving tension and tight muscles.

Cupping

Cups are used to create a suction force that pulls the tissue upward. This is a non-invasive technique used to promote blood flow to specific areas of the body, improving healing and decreasing inflammation.

sports massage

Sports massage is similar to deep tissue massage but provides more focus to specific muscles and breaks up tension. This massage is particularly helpful for runners, athletes, and clients who experience repetitive body movements throughout the day.

aromatherapy

Essential oils are another way to personalize your treatment. I use high quality essential oils to enhance the therapeutic experience for those who wish to incorporate scent into their massage.

himalayan salt hot stone

Temperature controlled hand carved Himalayan salt stones are used to deliver a radiating warmth to the tissue during a massage. 84 trace minerals in the stones provide healing for the skin, and is most beneficial when you avoid a shower after the massage to let your body absorb the minerals. Hot stones increase circulation, loosen up muscle fibers and create a relaxing experience.
